The winner of the RNLI Stabelford Competition was Heather Lofthouse with 38 points. Runnerup was Chris Reed with 35 points. Heather reduced her handicap to 27. The Cecil Leitch team had a convincing win over Keswick by 6-1 in the finals at Ulverston. This is the sixth time the Shield has graced the Workington trophy cupboard since it was first presented in 1927.
